The dialogue between the characters seems a tad forced and not nearly as crisp as it usually is and the comedic timing that this author usually has down to a science was way off the mark on occasion. The message of "don't worry about what you get in return, just treat people with love and it will come back to you" was my favorite line of the book, and a great snapshot into how the book teaches to be successful AND happy AND do it in a fashion in which you will be proud. The author offers a fresh approach to handling conflict within and without one's body, mind, and soul. I haven't met a character yet that I don't like. Like he had a template for a book and wrote it from that. My three year old son has always loved Max & Ruby. The book's argument offers a compelling case for a more dialogical relationship not only among the Abrahamic religions but with paganism as well .
